Words, Words, Words (with video from) KCM: Change Your Words and Change Your Life

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world,
and they that dwell therein. KJV

I just watched Kenneth Copeland on his 30 minute television broadcast today, September 17, 2017.  Oh my, it was exactly what I still need to hear so much. Really.  I had a list started of scripture references about the words  we speak and their importance  so I could post them later upon completion. Whether or not we've received Jesus as LORD we are all governed by the words we speak. Those of us who know Him have the power to be like Him and since He said His words "are spirit, and they are life", we need instruction on how to speak the same way.  Since Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy, our words spoken in line with his plan gives him permission to begin acting on them to bring them to pass. Thank God for His great grace which covers and keeps us all while we're learning to grow up In Him!

I'm not saying we have to go around quoting Bible verses all the time, but I do know we need to speak in line with life, health and all that comes with His covenant promises of Blessing-- which is our privilege to receive--but we need to learn "how to."  Honestly, this is something that I have to continually be aware of especially during prolonged seasons of stress and pressure.  I've had practice dealing with the careless words I've spoken, but I thank God He's faithful and not only forgives but teaches us how to enforce cancellation of their negative  effects.

Okay, so back to the scripture list I was going to post and the Kenneth Copeland video.  Everything he says about words, and how he connects them with forgiving and loving is so much better than my sharing only part of how words work, and YAY! he shares a list!  I do hope you'll watch the following video because the information he shares is essential to understand in the days we're living in. I apologize to those of you who visit here who may not speak English, but I'm including a list of the references Kenneth Copeland mentions on his video in rapid fire progression.

Standing

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world,
and they that dwell therein. KJV

Not a lot to share, though much has been happening.  Having to apply the scripture by faith, which says "having done all to stand, stand *therefore". Though there are giants in the land, Jesus the mighty man, the giant slayer, the David who already made a public spectacle of them for us is ever present in us. His triumphing over them in it is our place of victory where we can,  in Him, firmly stand one day at a time, perhaps even one moment at a time.

The Blessing of the LORD's Presence, strength, comfort, encouragement and  peace to all.

* Take note that it is God's armor not our own! So it is His truth, His righteousness, His peace, His faith, His salvation  that He's given to us to wear.   We don't have to work it up, figure it out, or try to get it by our works.  All we need to do is choose to believe it, receive it, and in His strength, stand against everything contrary to what the Word says remembering we get stronger in it as we practice, practice, practice it daily and moment to moment...and especially in the most difficult of times.

Call for Help!

Psalm 30:2
O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.     NIV

One of the things that blesses me about the Bible is its profound simplicity. It comes out with the most profound statements in the simplest and shortest words. What interests me as I glance at that verse that I’ve just presented to you, is that there is not a single word in it of more than one syllable. “O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.” And yet in those simple words of one syllable what tremendous truth is expressed.

I wonder if you realize that God is the healer of His people? In the second book of the Bible, Exodus, He says, ”I am the Lord that healeth thee”: I am the Lord, your doctor. And in the New Testament in the epistle of James, James writes, “Is there any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, let them anoint him with oil and pray over him. The prayer of faith shall save the sick.” Are you carrying around some sickness, some physical oppression, some burden that the Lord would gladly relieve you of? Have you thought about calling to the Lord? Consider the simplicity of those words: “I called to you for help and you healed me.”

May I recommend that to you? May I say that I thank God for doctors and nurses and all who help the sick and infirm. But the ultimate healer is God. Why not take your case to Him? I’ve done it many times and He’s healed me. I believe He’ll do it for you.

Again, Pray for the U.S.A.

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world,
and they that dwell therein. KJV

I've been in a time and place where much is required of my time and attention, so posts have been few and far between. However, we're in a time where prayer for our country is urgent and very necessary, so I'm re-posting a letter from Billye Brim from April of this year.  First, I'm sharing a phone number for a daily prayer call for the United States of America. To participate dial:
(1) 712 451 0755   code: 988990#
Announce yourself when prompted- generally, first name and state- then please mute your phone and wait.  Times are 9:00 a.m. Eastern and 6:00 a.m. Pacific time.  Other countries have called in also, but I have no information for times outside the continental U.S.  Also, there's a weekly prayer call for Israel which will generally include prayer for the U.S.A. as well, and takes place weekly on Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. Eastern and 6:00 a.m. Pacific time as well. That number and code is:
(1) 701 801 1211   code 492 836 754#
The same instructions apply.  Along with Hawaii and Alaska, we've had people from Canada, Belgium, Australia and perhaps others join us for prayer- and for this we are very thankful. Forgive me  if your country  was not mentioned here and you have participated.  And I just remembered that I believe Venezuela has called in as well  So wherever you live, if it's on your heart to join us, please do so because the prayers include the Church and all people around the globe.

At this point Billye Brim's  letter follows which was previously posted on April 1, 2017, entitled A Word from Billye Brim

Billye Brim Blog 3-31-17
From the Parsonage
I'm writing a book about FIRST OF ALL and the Awakenings.
I just finished the first draft of the first chapter and decided to send it out as a blog.
Here it is.  If you would like to join the FIRST OF ALL Campaign, call us at 1-800-972-3447.
Chapter 1
First of All

Before the 2016 US election, I knew (perhaps with a reasonable doubt) that Donald John Trump would be elected to the office of President.
How I knew was because of supernatural revelations given to someone else. The Bible says that in the end of days men would be given visions. The Amplified Bible calls them "divinely granted appearances." The early New Testament believers experienced them and in the Book of Acts it says they will occur in the end of days.
I was not a Trump supporter at the beginning. But I became one when he and Dr. Ben Carson invited a thousand or so ministers to New York City for a "conversation." There I began to see in my spirit that He might be God's choice.
The man to whom the Lord granted the visions asked me to judge them. A former Muslim, he'd accepted the Lord after hearing an audible Voice call him by name.  In the visions that began in September before the election, he'd heard that Donald Trump would be elected, but that the church would have to pray for him, and for our leaders as never before.
I knew that meant we would have to obey the Lord's command in First Timothy 2:1 as we never had.

1 Tim. 2:1-4, 8 (KJV)
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth...
8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
Up To The Church
Dr. Kenneth E. Hagin, whose books and publications I edited from 1970-1980, was granted a vision in which he saw three demonic frog-like creatures rise up out of the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. They hopped along the eastern seaboard and landed in Washington D.C. He was made to know their intent was to harm this nation.
He was shown, however, that their evil assignment could be stopped by the prayers of the people of God. He was instructed to come back to Tulsa (he'd been on a ministry trip) and to start a regular prayer service to stop this strategy of the enemy. He initiated the prayer group, which stayed focused for a while, but let up in its initial purpose.
When the Watergate scandal in all its depths and cover-ups caused great hurt to the nation, the Lord told Brother Hagin this was the strategy of the enemy revealed to him in the vision. Then he was told something to this effect, I'm not going to hold Richard Nixon primarily responsible for this; I'm not going to hold the Republican Party primarily responsible for this; I'm going to hold you primarily responsible for this. For I revealed it to you and the church could have stopped it. What ever happens in this nation happens because the church allows it to happen.
I heard Brother Hagin say this was one of the hardest things he ever had to pray and receive forgiveness for.  But he did!

FIRST OF ALL
Remembering this, I knew that the success of President Trump's Administration falls primarily upon the shoulders of the Body of Christ.
It came into my mind to initiate a campaign. Not a political campaign. But a spiritual campaign. A "FIRST OF ALL" Campaign. A campaign which calls upon believers to commit to pray FIRST OF ALL for our leaders just as our Lord instructs.
FIRST OF ALL before we pray for our family, before we pray for ourselves, before we pray for the lost, before we pray for our jobs or businesses, our ministry, before we pray for anything we are instructed to pray for our leaders, for kings (today it's usually presidents, prime ministers, etc.) and those in authority.
So through the various prayer avenues the Lord has granted me, I began to call for people to commit. To call us or write us. To say, "Count me in. I commit to pray every day FIRST OF ALL for our leaders."
We have never obeyed 1 Timothy 2:1 as we should have. If we had, this nation would not be in the darkness and division it now suffers. Satan (and his kingdom of darkness) is behind division. He seeks to divide and conquer.
The kingdom of the Light can and must overcome his evil plots. The most powerful weapon we have is obedience to the Word of God. And particularly concerning good government, obedience to 1 Timothy 2:1. We can unite in this effort and overcome the enemy's plot to destroy us through division.
Commandment With Promise
This is a commandment with promise. The revealed purpose of God is that we can expect to receive a time in which we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. A time conducive to men's being saved and coming into the knowledge of the truth.
Is this even possible in such a terrible time as this? God didn't put a time limit on the promise. When these Holy Spirit inspired words were given through Paul Timothy was the young pastor of the church in Ephesus. Ephesus was a wicked city that worshipped the goddess Artemis. The Roman Empire was in the throes of its most evil emperors such as Nero. Christians and Jews were thrown to lions in the evil bloodthirsty games in the great theatres. Nero dipped them in pitch and burned them as human torches.
The kings were evil. But the church was instructed to pray for them and to expect their prayers to bring about what God said they would. And things did eventually change.
If you are a believer in the truth of the Bible, you are commanded to pray first of all for your leaders, whether or not you like them. Whether or not you voted for them. Won't you please do so? And won't you please commit to do so? Please contact us if you would like to be counted in a huge company of praying people who are committed to pray FIRST OF ALL as our Lord commanded.

A Speaking What? Re-post

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world,
and they that dwell therein. KJV

I was considering several options concerning what should follow my last post. While looking through some material for something else altogether, I accidentally pulled up a post from my first blog. Upon reading it I realized it would be a natural follow-up to my previous post featuring  the pamphlet authored by Charles Capps,  Created to have DOMINION since speaking and dominion go hand in hand.

All I'll add concerning the re-post at this point is though I had  deeper instruction in the correct use of our words in 2013, I have had degrees of success over the years since, as well as some obvious failures!  Moreover, it's more than a rote education in changing how we speak and our choice of words; it requires first and foremost a transformation of our heart and only the Living Word and the Spirit can do that....and as Jesus said, out of the heart the mouth speaks.  So without further explanation the re-post follows.

A Speaking What?
I’ve been looking forward to this entry for a while but wasn’t certain how to present it, but since it’s such a foundational truth (as far as I’m concerned) if we’d like to understand more about how God created man to function in His Likeness, I decided it’s time to go for it.

In my June 25, 2013 entry entitled  Three Lives? I posted some information regarding the plural form of the word “life” which was used in Genesis 2:7.  Here’s the original King James Version of that verse:
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
And here’s how it reads if you replace the word “life” with the plural form as it is in the original Hebrew:
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of lives; and man became a living soul.
So man became a “living soul” once God breathed the breath of lives into him making all 3 parts of man-his spirit, his soul and his body-one living being created in God’s own likeness.  Genesis 1:1 confirms through the Hebrew translation this very fact.  In sharing what Derek Prince wrote in his bookWar in Heaven,  I wrote that  plural nouns or pronouns normally require a plural verb, but in Genesis 1:1 this is not the case at all:
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth (my emphasis).
Here, “God” is plural (Elohim) while “created” is singular establishing God as a Triune Being though functionally One, so in His likeness He created man to be as He was and is. Unfortunately this oneness-along with complete contentment and satisfaction in their whole being because of their union with God-ended with Adam and Eve’s choice to follow the deceiver’s voice rather than God’s.

I’ve written all this in order to share another discovery found in those few words contained in Genesis 2:7, but first I want to say how captivated I am by the precision of it all-the amount of revelation packed in such a few words-how interesting, and very impressive in design has everything been laid out, both in the actual creation and in the use of words to describe it accurately!

Now, finally, another secret intimated in the use of the words “living soul” in Genesis 2:7.  This bit of information comes from The Stone Edition of the Chumash, a Hebrew commentary which includes comments from the Sages-Jewish scholars.  I’d  heard of this particular reference from several sources over the course of a few years before I decided to look into it and see for myself. The following is what I found. One of the Sages says that the soul mentioned in verse 7 was made a “speaking spirit”, because only God could “blow” into man a rational soul which includes intelligent speech.

Once again, here’s the verse as it is written in Genesis 2:7  King James Version:
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
And here’s what it looks like with the inclusion of the information we’ve discovered:
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of lives; and man became a speaking spirit (emphasis mine).
This information confirms  to me the fact that we, Man, were indeed created in God’s likeness, having been given dominion and authority  as stated in Genesis 1:26-29.  And how else was man to have dominion over the earth and the creatures God created, except by speaking words even as God had dominion and created by speaking?  All authorities rule with words, Kings, lawmakers, police officers, judges, magistrates of all kinds.  Look around in everyday life.  Bosses rule over employees, teachers over classrooms, doctors over patients. Those in authority rule with words!  Just look through the Bible and see how important words are. However, we, mankind, were never meant to have dominion except under God’s perfect understanding and authority while in relationship to Him.  All that changed when Adam and Eve fell into deception, rebelled against God losing their authority to the evil one  until Jesus came. He, as the Son of Man, bought back-paid the ransom so to speak- to restore Mankind’s breath of lives to all who choose to receive Him and the payment He made. Since the payment and the Man who made it can’t be separated, the rate of exchange here is His life for ours.  And once we make the great exchange, through the renewing of the mind we once again can become a proper speaking spirit, speaking intelligent words of life in agreement with Life Himself. [And as I added earlier, it also requires the transformation of our hearts, and that takes time.]

And now, this is all I can write intelligently!  So hopefully, there will be more insights into this process in future blogs, and for this I’m very much looking forward since the greater the understanding we receive of God’s higher ways for us, the greater the ability He gives us to begin walking it out in our daily lives....and really, who’s not interested in having more Life, more victory and more  peace.  Sounds, well, heavenly to me!

About Taking Dominion

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world,
and they that dwell therein. KJV

Note:  I had this up very briefly, but had to remove it until some copyright issues were fully resolved. Happily, I received the response I had been waiting for. After a few words from me I'm re-posting Created to Have DOMINION  in all its glory!

Wow! It has been a good while since I last wrote though I've tried many times but nothing jelled, but today something firmed up. Yay and Yay!!!  I'm posting a little pamphlet I received a number of years ago from a very anointed man of God, Charles Capps, who moved to heaven in February 2014. He use to write a short monthly partner letter each month and always included a teaching in a little pamphlet form such as the one I'll be sharing with you here.

To my great delight, while preparing for a move I found this  particular letter unopened.  It  somehow had escaped me until a few weeks ago, and oh my goodness gracious,  how timely it its for today.  It's an in season word for teaching and encouragement. He had an unassuming teaching style and was very proficient in walking out his faith.  In this  pamphlet he shared practical examples of how he worked with God and His Word to bring results.

So here goes. I'm uploading the booklet entitled Created to have DOMINION by Charles Capps in its entirety.  I trust it will encourage and strengthen you as it did me.

About Appointed Times

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world,
and they that dwell therein. KJV

Today I'm sharing a post from *Derek Prince Ministries which is most timely and full of valuable insight. It was a strength and encouragement to me to continue on in trust especially since I've often made mention of appointed times or fullness of time over the course of this blog.  And sometimes we just must wait for that specific time in our own lives.  Also this is an intensified element of what it's like on the other side of the boat in our personal realignment process-at least it is for me!

The message is a bit lengthy, but it's well worth the time it takes to read. There's even a link included to receive a **free mp3 download of Derek Prince's  original radio message in its entirety.  At this point I wish to thank Derek Prince Ministries for their generosity in allowing me to share the following message including the free download!

PLYourAppointedTimearticle1000

Does God have a specific timing for every situation you face? Are there “appointed times” for what we experience in life? Do you wonder why there have been some delays?

It is so encouraging to experience those unmistakable times when our lives dovetail with God’s perfect timing. Those divine moments bring a wonderful element of excitement and fulfillment, helping to make all of life seem worthwhile.

Understanding the truth that God has appointed times for each event in your life will help to explain why some answers to prayer seem delayed, or why needed breakthroughs have not yet occurred. Are you taking into consideration the factor of God’s timing? Even more, are you ready to take a step of faith into your appointed time?

Holy Moments

During a recent DPM staff gathering for worship and prayer, the following prophetic utterance was given, and it relates to this theme of God’s timing:

You may not always be aware of it, and you may not feel any different at the time, but you are living in the presence of holy moments—times when your life links with Mine in a supernatural way. You may not understand the importance of these times, but you will need to step into these moments by faith. Keep your eyes open; keep your heart open; keep your spirit open—to recognize these holy moments so you may step into them by faith.

For a number of days prior to this prophetic word, our staff had been aware of this topic of God’s timing. It had been a frequent focus of our conversations and, in addition, there had been a number of miraculous “coincidences” in our work that were confirmations of this truth.

What is the net effect of such “coincidences”? Often, they are encouraging reminders that our lives do not progress in a random way. Behind everything that takes place, the Lord has a clear, powerful plan—and a schedule He maintains to work out all the divine details.

Scriptural Confirmations

Actually, the Bible contains many references to this concept—regular expressions such as “at the appointed time,” “in the fullness of time,” or “when the times had been fulfilled.” As I was reflecting on this practical theme, several Scriptures came to mind. One was the simple declaration found in Romans 5:6 (NASB): “For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.” The New Living translation adds one word for extra emphasis: “When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.” It was not a chance event or coincidence. God planned it—at just the right time!

Jesus’ sacrifice was a cosmic kairos moment—occurring at the precise, perfect period in human history for Him to offer His life for us. But let’s bring God’s timing down to an individual level. Do you believe there are such kairosmoments for your life as well? Can you muster up the faith to step into the appointed times the Lord has set for you?

The Issue of Waiting

Let’s not ignore some of the biggest issues and questions regarding God’s timing. For example, why do we sometimes have to face such long delays? Why is it necessary to wait for God’s appointed time? What does this process of waiting accomplish in you and me?

Our mentor, Derek Prince, had extensive experience with God’s appointed times. Fortunately, he taught often and effectively on this theme—and it is the focus of our selected excerpt. Derek’s quote is taken from “What Does It Mean,” the first installment of a five-day radio teaching on “Waiting for God.”

What is it, then, that is so important about waiting for God? What are the results it will produce in us? I’d like to suggest that in waiting for God we acknowledge God in a very special way. We give Him His rightful place in our lives. It builds a relationship with Him that cannot be built in any other way.

In particular, there are three ways we acknowledge God by waiting for Him. First of all, we acknowledge God as our source. That’s why the psalmist said, “Wait for God only.” He was saying to his own soul, “What you need can only come from God. There’s no other source for what you need—so it’s in vain to turn in any other direction. You have to keep your heart and your mind focused on God by waiting for Him.”

Secondly, we acknowledge God’s sovereignty—and that is so important. The initiative is with God. The timing is with God. We can’t tell God when to do it. We have to wait until God, in His infinite wisdom, knows this is the time that it needs to be done. So, we are acknowledging God’s sovereignty in our lives.

Thirdly, we are acknowledging our dependence upon God. That is something which is painful for all of us. Why? Because as a result of man’s fall, there is ingrained in every human being a deep desire to be independent—even to be independent of God. “Waiting for God” deals with this desire for independence. It continually reminds us we are dependent upon God. The initiative comes from God. The only source is God. And so, it humbles and subdues that carnal impulse in us which is continually striving to be independent of God.

Yielding to God

Do these insights encourage you regarding the issues you are dealing with? Are they helping you with some of the exasperating delays you have been facing? Our hope is that what we have shared will strengthen you to hold on for the breakthroughs you are seeking.

It might be appropriate at this point for you and me to express our hearts to the Lord in these matters. Let’s do so together with the following prayer.

Lord, it seems as if I have been waiting forever, holding on by my fingernails for the answers I have asked from You. But I know You have an appointed time for every aspect of my life. I want to begin this prayer with the declaration that I trust You. I trust You to provide the answers and breakthroughs I need. And I trust You to bring them into my life on Your time schedule—not mine.

I also want to take a step of faith today. I believe there are indeed many “holy moments” in my future. Please help me to step into each of these moments with a vibrant faith, recognizing them as they arrive and embracing them in a deliberate, faithful way. I will keep my eyes open, my heart open, and my spirit open to You—watching for them so I can respond properly at these divine times.

Also, in accordance with the points Derek shared, I proclaim that You are my source. I focus my heart and mind upon You, O Lord. I also acknowledge Your sovereignty, recognizing that the initiative is with You—so I will wait for You to move in the matters I am facing. Finally, I declare my dependence upon You, turning loose of my desire to be independent of You. I rely on You and You alone.

Lord, I recognize Your appointed times for every aspect of my life. I receive them by faith and step into Your destiny for me with full trust in You. Amen.

A Courageous Step

This prayer represents a courageous and trusting acknowledgement that our times are in God’s hands. In fact, this step could make a huge difference in the days ahead. For one thing, you may notice that your “peace level” may be a little higher—and your “aggravation level” a little lower. Such changes come from a solid acceptance of the sovereignty of God’s timing in our lives.

After all, the Word of God encourages us in Hebrews 6:12 toward “faith and patience” by which we will inherit God’s promises. That element of “patience” is always the rub; and you and I have addressed it directly with the prayer we have just offered up.

As always, all of us here at DPM want to provide valuable resources in the outworking of the “faith and patience” just mentioned. Please accept our offer for a free MP3 of the full week of radio messages by Derek on the theme of “Waiting for God.” This teaching is both comprehensive and helpful, and we want you to have it as a resource. Simply download it by using the link below.

Material that we give is just one way to thank you and acknowledge your precious partnership with us. What a privilege to stand with you in important matters such as your appointed time! You have faithfully encouraged us through your prayers and financial generosity towards us, and we are grateful to you. Thank you—many times over!

Help and Strength

You can count on our prayers for you in the days ahead. It is no small matter to recognize God’s appointed time in your life—and it is an even greater challenge to step into that moment by faith.

The Lord has allowed you and me the privilege of being alive and active during a significant period of history. Clearly, in the cosmic perspective noted earlier, we are living in a kairos moment—possibly the introductory stage to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. In that respect, it is incumbent upon you and me to keep our eyes, our hearts, and our spirits open to properly address every divine appointment we encounter in the days ahead.

May the Lord help and strengthen you—and us as well. May we be found faithful to walk in His divine timing. May you abundantly succeed in your appointed time.

All the best,
