Jesus: The Son of Man

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world,

and they that dwell therein. KJV

I'm sharing something the LORD said to me during the month of December when my thoughts often went to the meaning of Jesus being born into the world with the angel and a multitude of heavenly hosts declaring:
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Luke 2:14
Over time I grew to better understand  Him often referring to Himself as "the son of man" because God had given authority to mankind when He created them in the Garden in His own image and likeness.  Only a man could restore what  man had forfeited to satan. This is a little background to what He said to me which is very significant for such a time as this when He's actively bringing all things into one In Him. (see Ehesians 1:7-10)

Without further ado, I'll now share the simple, but profound word He spoke to me in my spirit.

I came as the son of man so you could become the sons of God.
I can only imagine the preparation we as His children must go through to  come into  that place where we, who want to go with Him, will be released in the earth as the sons of God all creation is waiting to see.  But I do know this, He is well able to do it individually, collectively and nationally as we give Him more and more room to change us from glory to glory in His likeness!

He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?

Remembering...

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world,

and they that dwell therein. KJV

Today, I'm posting a short tribute to my husband which will give you a better understanding of why there have been so few posts in the past 12 months. I do hope, and expect, I'll write more often in the months  ahead and trust you'll find something of interest which will bring you back again.

Return or not, I trust the Blessing and favor of the LORD to overtake you and your household in every area of your lives.

Remembering my husband--

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that [goes forth weeping] bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.  Psalm 126:5-6

But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?

Victory in Jesus!

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world,

and they that dwell therein. KJV

This is what we have In Christ Jesus regardless of our present circumstances  Every promise WILL come to pass as we release our faith in Him who promised for He is well able to watch over His Word to perform it.  I say to the weak and weary, "Hang in there."

Blessings to all and I trust His strength and comfort to be released to you as you listen even if you don't speak English! So here's Denver and the Mile High Orchestra with their beautiful rendition of Victory in Jesus.

He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?

The Personal Instructor

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world,

and they that dwell therein. KJV

I'm sharing a page from my journal written and received today, Saturday, June 16, 2018 while going over a list of 10 confessions for receiving and maintaining health which I refer to as "wholeness" confessions-because the Life in them affect your whole being, spirit, soul and body.  While  reading aloud number 9  (2 Corinthians 10:3-5), I simultaneously saw and understood what I'm preparing to share with you today.

Journal starts here:

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 Amplified  Bible, Classic Addition with personalizations

3  [Even though I have a physical body I will] not carry on warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons.

4 For the weapons of [my] warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,

5 [I] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and I lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ. (the Messiah, the Anointed One)

I had a quick picture flash before my mind, seeing a young woman- slender, muscular- practicing the use of her  weapons. You couldn't see her Personal Instructor but He was there, teaching her, strengthening her,  teaching her how to use her weapons-bringing her up higher into  expert levels.   At the same time I understood that some people have a Sensei, Grand master of some sort.  But we have Him here with us, in us.  The teacher, the true firstborn of God, the only One that has truly "gone before" who teaches us and takes us to the highest skill level in warfare, wisdom, understanding, power and love.  And God at Jesus' request has sent us His Children our very own instructor, The Holy Spirit, who'll take us as high as we allow Him to do so!  Glory to God, it's our choice!  We can choose to go!!!!  Woohooo, thank you God, I choose to go with you!  Thank You, thank You, Thank You and I offer you all my heart and my love!

I found the information below very interesting since the term Sensei also came to mind during the reading of the Corinthians scripture.

Japan
Sensei definition:
Japanese martial arts commonly use Sensei (先生) meaning "teacher" or literally translated, "born first"[1] or "one who has gone before".[3] A Sensei is a person who has knowledge and is willing to teach that knowledge to another. A Sensei assists students in ken shiki "the pursuit of knowledge".

How my Personal Instructor taught me to think concerning this scripture:

...The Lord is near.  Therefore I will not fret or have anxiety about anything....

Recompense Defined

He has  told you, O man, what is good;
And what does the LORD require of you
But to do justice, to love kindness,
And to walk humbly with your God?
Micah 6:8

This morning it seemed good to me to add more emphasis to the word, recompense which was used in my post on Sunday, January 7, 2018, entitled  From Attrition to Recompense.  To see it look to the right of this post and click on Featured Post.

So here we go with defining!

        Recompense:
 Webster's  Dictionary 1828 - Online Edition
American Dictionary Of The  English Language

REC'OMPENSEverb transitive
1. To compensate; to make return of an equivalent for any thing given, done or suffered; as, to recompense a person for services, for fidelity or for sacrifices of time, for loss or damages.
The word is followed by the person or the service. We recompense a person for his services, or we recompense his kindness. It is usually found more easy to neglect than to recompense a favor.
2. To require; to repay; to return an equivalent; in a bad sense.
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Romans 12:17.
3. To make an equivalent return in profit or produce. The labor of man is recompensed by the fruits of the earth.
4. To compensate; to make amends by any thing equivalent.
Solyman - said he would find occasion for them to recompense that disgrace.
5. To make restitution or an equivalent return for. Numbers 5:7.
REC'OMPENSEnoun1. An equivalent returned for any thing given, done or suffered; compensation; reward; amends; as a recompense for services, for damages, for loss, etc.
2. Requital; return of evil or suffering or other equivalent; as a punishment.
To Me [God} belongeth vengeance and  recompense Deuteronomy 32:35(emphasis  and [GOD] mine

It's always good to remember with scriptures concerning vengeance as the one above, God loves and is FOR mankind, that's why He sent Jesus His only son to become recompense, to  take on Himself  what we  deserved.  The invitation  is still open for anyone who wants to receive  Him and all God  has to offer  His beloved  children.  The vengeance is for Satan and his minions who hate us. And it seems so very reasonable to me to  choose The One who LOVES US!

Here's another complimentary scripture the Spirit opened up to me this year regarding NOW as the time and season for recompense (and more) to come to pass.

Psalm 102:12-13  NASB

12 But You, O Lord, abide forever,
And Your name to all generations.
13 You will arise and have compassion on Zion;
For it is time to be gracious to her,
For the appointed time has come.
So, I close with this encouragement, God's part is to bring it to pass.  Our part is the same as what Jesus told Jairus to do, "don't be afraid, believe only".... no matter how things look.

 Psalm 78:72

... He shepherds me according to the integrity of his heart,

And guides me with his skillful hands (emphasis and personalization, mine).

The Heart of the Matter.....

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world,
and they that dwell therein. KJV

This is the heart of the matter, any matter for anyone seeking to know the Living God: we must come to have a personal revelation of who God is. No matter where we find ourselves in our walk with God, no matter what anyone else has said, no matter what we've experienced-thought was true, believed was true, taught was true, our foundational belief system can only be based upon our individual and very personal revelation of Him. He's given us His Word, His Spirit-His very Presence-to be our personal teacher and in the agreement and unity of these we can surely rest and rely. Derek Prince cogently expresses this spiritual  truth in a devotional which I plan to share here.

I've written in the past (with limited understanding) on the subject of the other side of the boat or the other side of the lake where Jesus instructed His disciples to go, and how it looks/feels like on the other side. Since then I've discovered more about why the net broke when Peter used an old one instead of casting out his best nets, and what it's feels like when traveling to the other side of the lake in unfamiliar territory in the greatest storm (this writer has) ever experienced. During times like these when life's storms  threaten to sink our boat with us in it we can better understand why His  disciples asked Jesus, "...don't you care that we perish." Mark 4:38.  What does this have to do with the subject at hand?  Well, it has everything to do with it.  In times like these we need an Anchor to our soul, One who will hold onto us when our strength is exhausted, when we're too overwhelmed to hold onto anything in our own strength.  This is when we not only need to know our God but to experience His help in very real, very practical, very personal ways.  This is what the subject is all about- the need for having a personal, intimate  knowledge  of Him.

So far, I've found Him to be faithful and a very personal Help in time of need, and I trust Him to be so in an increasing manner from this day forth. I've also discovered a new favorite scripture which I've personalized, which, if you stop by here from time to time you'll probably see quite often. I'm still learning to trust the truth of this particular Word daily in ways I never have or had to in the past while the ground beneath my feet still feels unsettled.  I trust you'll be blessed indeed by this scripture which He made alive to me and is a very real source of help and strength to me  as well as by what Derek Prince wrote about the necessity for a personal revelation of who God Is.

 Psalm 78:72  NASB

... He shepherds me according to the integrity of his heart,

And guides me with his skillful hands (emphasis and personalization, mine).

Encounter with God

Psalm 63:1–2; 6
O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night.     NIV

How important it is to have your own personal revelation of God. Not just to rely on what someone else has told you or what you read in a book or even what you heard in church. All that may be good, but it’s not sufficient. There must come a time when you’ve seen God for yourself, when you’ve come to know Him first-hand. When you’ve had such a revelation of God that nothing else can ever satisfy you but God Himself.

David had that kind of revelation. He said, “I’ve seen You in the sanctuary. I’ve beheld Your power and Your glory and now I’m in a dry and thirsty land, but my soul longs for You more than it does for water. And even when I lie in bed at night my meditation is of You. You fill my heart and my mind, my imagination, my longing. All the day through I’m taken up with You, my God.”

There’s no other source of true satisfaction. My soul doesn’t find rest in any other way. I’ve seen You and known You in a way that I can never forget and that has determined the course of my life. It determines my attitudes, my actions, the things that I choose, and the way I walk, and so it needs to be in each one of our lives.

From Attrition to Recompense

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world,
and they that dwell therein. KJV

Here's another re-post. I believe the first time this message was posted was merely an introduction  to  the season  we've just entered as 2018 is now upon us.  I share this after an extended time of much difficulty and hardship, but I know God is faithful and I fully believe what God has promised He is well able to perform, thus the reason for this re-post.

I believe we're entering into God's Season full on, a time of His delights coming to pass.  Though it may take some time for it to begin to manifest, fear not because it's only the beginning of the season....and seasons do last more than a few days.  I trust God to help us actively receive by faith all  He desires to bring to pass for us individually, as well as our families, churches, and our countries. Yes LORD, have Your way in our hearts and lives!

A New Season Is Here!

I participate in a daily national prayer call for the United States, our leaders, as well as national and world-wide events and the Body of Christ.   After the call the morning of September 21, I was walking about wondering about everything which concerns my immediate family.  As I was just "wondering before the LORD" about several very important situations and how things might work out, I heard a familiar voice from within say, " It's coming to an end."   Hmm, this really made me wonder especially since He said it twice, but I must say I was puzzled and surprised by this answer. I finally asked Him what was coming to an end.  Shortly I heard His response even in the midst of all the activity occurring in my home. "Attrition."  And again, "Attrition."  I knew I'd have to look up the word in order to grasp its fullest meaning because I understood this was very important.  Even as I'm writing this I see something new in this exchange.  Jesus rarely said something 2 times and when He did, it was because of the great importance associated with its meaning.  Wow! This is a "selah" moment for me, my goodness! *(I really do need to stop and consider, and emphasize the importance of this! )

Back to the original thought.  After I heard the words, I stayed busy with the required activities I was involved in at the moment, but upon finishing those responsibilities I was reminded I needed to look up attrition which was a small miracle in itself considering the flurry of activity that was underway inside and outside my home.  I did look it up, but it's necessary to include the following information about the timing of it since the evening of September 21 is the first day of Rosh Hashanah on God's calendar.  Here's a short definition.
Most of us think of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, as a very serious day—the day on which we proclaim G‑d as King of the universe as He sits in judgment of the world and its inhabitants. And yet, Rosh Hashanah is also a joyous holiday, since we have faith that G‑d will grant us a sweet new year. These two ideas are expressed in the different laws and customs of Rosh Hashanah.
Now the definition of attrition:

at·tri·tion
əˈtriSH(ə)n/
noun
  1. 1.

the action or process of gradually reducing the strength or effectiveness of someone or something through sustained attack or pressure.

"the council is trying to wear down the opposition by attrition"

synonyms:wearing down, wearing away, weakening, debilitation, enfeebling, sapping, attenuation
    gradual loss
"the battle would result in further attrition of their already lame naval force"

  2. 2.
(in scholastic theology) sorrow, but not contrition, for sin.

I have such confidence in this Word from The LORD for several reasons.  One, He initiated it.  Two, the timing of it, which is during His appointed Feast, the Jewish New Year.  For us, His children who have experienced sustained opposition over a long period, it is His timing for it to come to and end. He is judging our enemies and bringing us out into a new season of His protection, strength and recovery in every area. I believe we've entered a new season of being restored and renewed in strength  to overcome in every area as He goes before us in this new day.  What else can it mean when He said twice, "It's coming to and end."  Add to that the answer to my question of "what's coming to an end" and His responding twice, "Attrition."    Put that together with what takes place in this appointed feast of Rosh Hashanah and we have His direct intervention in our lives to overcome our personal enemies as well as to begin  to recover and prosper! I have to say I am  excited over this Word and I release my faith in it and I RECEIVE it now! This is God doing what He does when His children unify and cry out to Him, and at the appointed time He always acts!

*Now, concerning Him saying these things twice to me. I've understood that when Jesus said something twice like verily, verily, or said a persons name such as Martha, Martha, He was emphasizing the importance of  what He was going to speak.  After my "light coming on moment" I knew I needed to look it up and find out more.   Here's a portion of what got Questions?org has to say in part about verily, verily or truly, truly:
..when we read Jesus' words and see statements beginning with "verily," "truly," or some variation, we should recall the deeper meaning. Those claims are not only Jesus' opinion on the truth. Those are ideas about which He has intimate, personal, firsthand knowledge.
And concerning His repeating names according to Bible.org  :
We might miss the strength of these statements unless we realize that repeating a person’s name is a Hebrew expression of intimacy....when God encourages Jacob in his old age to take the trip to Egypt, He says, “Jacob, Jacob”...When Jesus confronted Martha, when He warned Peter, and when He wept over Jerusalem—in each case we find the word repeated for intimacy’s sake...
Because of not only the greater understanding concerning Jesus' use of speaking a word twice, it confirms as well, the certainty of the Word He spoke to me twice, but also how important it is to Him for us to know His heart in this matter.  Out of His great LOVE for us He spoke (and is speaking)  a word which He has intimate, personal, and firsthand knowledge of.

I close this with a thankful heart for the privilege of being enabled to share this with great confidence in His overwhelming  desire and ability to bring this word to pass for all of us who will receive for ourselves and families what He desires to do in this new season.  Let's follow Him and do what He instructs us to do and it will surely come to pass!

He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?
