What Manner of Men Are These?...

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof;
the world, and they that dwell therein.

I just listened to something so very beautiful, something that touched my heart so deeply, it brought me to a depth of tears I've never experienced before. Not that I haven't been significantly affected by beauty in the past, but this was different, uniquely different.  It was spiritual.   Spiritual in the way I was overcome with a praiseworthy  thankfulness to the Most High God for having created men with such creative ability, men created in His own image. Actually in this case, by creating men to be  the very instruments themselves that praised Him intentionally or not, because it was He who freely gave the gifts which enabled men to become such! My spirit's recognition of this caused my heart to burst forth in thanksgiving that could only be released in a healing flow of tears.

As I mentioned, this isn't the first time an appreciation of beautiful music has brought me to tears, but this was a  "once in a lifetime  experience", so far, and I don't expect it to be the last since I've experienced a breakthrough!  I believe this happened because of the harsh experiences we've all  had to live through the past number of years.   And  "healing flow of tears" was used intentionally, though it doesn't appear  the world has changed, and though it may stay discombobulated  for a while,  I believe we've entered a time of God's grace for healing,  restoring and strengthening us His children.  I know I'm a candidate and plan to receive all He wants to do in me, with me, for me and/or through me.  And who wouldn't enjoy more Holy Spirit led discovery of "what manner of men" we are meant to be?

And though He used the beauty of music for me,  I trust whatever beauty that will touch your unique, one of a kind soul and spirit to the core will come swiftly.  It was such a surprise today when this happened for me....it was indeed a suddenly! and a very good one! It awakened a desire to purposefully look for things like it.  I had gotten so use to the daily grind, I had lost touch with a part of myself  that brought me great pleasure since I was a child.  How lovely is our God to cause such things to come alive again!   O, how I believe He really is causing these dry bones to live again!

I'm closing this blog entry today with the music that God used to  breathe fresh life into my soul and trust He will do the same for you in the unique way you need it...even if you don't know what that particular thing  is.   I sure didn't!

Sliding Up!

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof;
the world, and they that dwell therein.

Years ago I wrote a small collection of poetry and prose which I entitled Rising.  The selection I want to share with you today is "Sliding Up!".  The inspiration for the title came from a Holy Spirit led introspection of my heart. This was my introduction of seeing into  things hidden  there, and what I was shown wasn't pleasing to Him or me. And I smile now as I write this because I was SO shocked to discover I needed this kind of cleansing! After all, I was a Christian who was a good person.  I had accepted Jesus and was doing all the right things as far as I knew.  And I was NICE! How could such a thing be hidden in MY heart? I was truly shocked!   O my, and now I'm chuckling out loud because I remember that day  and recall the feelings so clearly.

Needless to say I had no  real understanding that though I had become a new creation in Christ Jesus,  the part of me that had been made NEW was my SPIRIT only!  I had no understanding that  my mind - my thinking and understanding -  had to be renewed and brought in line with being a child of the King and my birthright had forever changed! And is it not wonderful to have our very own instructor who will teach us all things concerning the abundant life that Jesus Himself came to give us?!

I eventually got over the shock of having discovered I was still in need of transformation,  and  here's the poem that agrees with that:

Sliding Up!

It seems to be impossible to do such a wonderful thing,
But when the Lord is healing, it's the natural nature of things.

You start out by sliding, going on
                                                                              d
                                                                                 o
                                                                                   w
                                                                                      n
it's true!
But when the work is finished,

                                                    U!
                                               O
you'll find a bigger better Y

And after all these years,  I still need to go through this same process both when I recognize something that's just not quite right, or when Holy Spirit shows me.....the difference now is, I'm not shocked.  I must admit that at times I've been totally surprised when I "see" what He shows me, but the truth remains that things are always better and brighter afterwards.

At this point, I feel impressed to share a Word the Spirit gave me this past year which I grew to understand is a key  which when actively applied, produces quick results.  Once we grow to trust Him implicitly and know He will NEVER  harm  us in any way, we can give Him carte blanche (unrestricted power to act at one's own discretion; unconditional authority) over our heart.  When we come to this kind of reliance, trust and intimacy with Him, we can rest assured we will be rewarded with His kindness and faithfulness to help in any and every area of our lives.

Here's what He said to me:

Honesty to honesty, truth to truth, grace to grace, glory to glory.

These  words are the process which  depend on us taking the first step, the honesty step,  which includes being open about everything which concerns us.  He will take us through the rest as we continue to  cooperate with Him  and walk with Him.

I'll end this blog with a simple wrap-up  of what He said in a few, power packed words:

      Honesty to Honesty: open and bare; nothing hidden, except to be made known  Mark 4:22

      Truth to Truth: you will know the truth and it will make your free  John 8:32

      Grace to Grace:  he who receives an abundance of grace will reign in life...Romans 5:17

      Glory to Glory: we are being changed from glory to glory into His likeness  2 Cor. 3:18

America The Beautiful!

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof;
the world, and they that dwell therein.

Today I'm posting a link to another video from Dutch Sheets.  It really does speak for itself by  title and content. My hope is that anyone visiting here might see something they haven't seen  before, or hear something they haven't heard before about the true beauty on which The United States of America was built.

I present to you the YouTube link to watch:

Receiving Paul's Prayer

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof;
the world, and they that dwell therein.

While I was reading this morning,  I came across a treasure I want to share with you.  I must admit that reading it today was like the first time, though I had  read it before in  The Passion Translation,  because I had "boxed it in"  with green ink... and starred the corners!  But today the words seemed to come alive and pierce my heart, and by faith I say, there they will remain producing like fruit of itself.  That's what the Word does when received and kept alive through faith.  So now,  the verse is underlined with red ink, starred and noted with these words which seemed to amplify them even more once I read what I had written:

* First and foremost seek this!

Here's the verse I'm speaking of:

Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life.  Ephesians 3:17  TPT

Since the verse is taken out of context, it would be most beneficial to read the full passage concerning the Apostle Paul's prayer for the Ephesians.  Here's the link for verses 3:14-20.

I trust  the inherent power within His word will produce an abundant harvest of His love in us all, healing our hearts and lifting us out of the pain and sorrow of the past season.

The Blessing of The LORD on all who will receive it!

2 Corinthians 4:7

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels,
 that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us

What? A Speaking What....?

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof;
the world, and they that dwell therein.

In light of yesterday's post Reclaiming Our Voice it seemed good to share a slightly edited re-post of a re-post from my original blog in 2013 when the subject of the authority and the power of words began to take root in me. I so much enjoyed what I discovered,  I thought perhaps some of you may find it helpful, or at the very least interesting.   So without further ado,  here in part is,  A Speaking What?

A Speaking What?
I’ve been looking forward to this entry for a while but wasn’t certain how to present it, but since it’s such a foundational truth (as far as I’m concerned) if we’d like to understand more about how God created man to function in His Likeness, I decided it’s time to go for it.

In my June 25, 2013 entry entitled  Three Lives? I posted some information regarding the plural form of the word “life” which was used in Genesis 2:7.  Here’s the original King James Version of that verse:
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
And here’s how it reads if you replace the word “life” with the plural form as it is in the original Hebrew:
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of lives; and man became a living soul.
So man became a “living soul” once God breathed the breath of lives into him making all 3 parts of man-his spirit, his soul and his body-one living being created in God’s own likeness.  Genesis 1:1 confirms through the Hebrew translation this very fact.  In sharing what Derek Prince wrote in his book War in Heaven,  I wrote that  plural nouns or pronouns normally require a plural verb, but in Genesis 1:1 this is not the case at all:
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth (my emphasis).
Here, “God” is plural (Elohim) while “created” is singular establishing God as a Triune Being though functionally One, so in His likeness He created man to be as He was and is. Unfortunately this oneness-along with the complete contentment and satisfaction within their whole being because of their union with God-ended with Adam and Eve’s choice to follow the deceiver’s voice rather than God’s.

I’ve written all this in order to share another discovery found in those few words contained in Genesis 2:7, but first I want to say how captivated I am by the precision of it all-the amount of revelation packed in such a few words-how interesting, and very impressive in design has everything been laid out, both in the actual creation and in the use of words to describe it accurately!

Now, finally, another secret intimated in the use of the words “living soul” in Genesis 2:7.  This bit of information comes from The Stone Edition of the Chumash, a Hebrew commentary which includes comments from the Sages-Jewish scholars.  I’d  heard of this particular reference from several sources over the course of a few years before I decided to look into it and see for myself. The following is what I found. One of the Sages writes that the soul mentioned in verse 7 was made a “speaking spirit”, because only God could “blow” into man a rational soul which includes intelligent speech.
Once again, here’s the verse as it is written in Genesis 2:7  KJV:
     And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils
     the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Here’s what it looks like with the inclusion of the information we’ve discovered:

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his                                      nostrils the breath of lives; and man became a speaking spirit (emphasis mine).
This information confirms  to me that we, Man, were indeed created in God’s likeness, having been given dominion and authority  as stated in Genesis 1:26-29.  And how else was man to have dominion over the earth and the creatures God created, except by speaking words even as God created everything by speaking words?   End of re-post.

 All I know is this: I want to give Him all the room He needs in order for me to be a proper speaking spirit so I can partner with Him. I know this requires us to allow the old nature to have no place in us so we can live continually out of our reborn spirit which is fully capable of being filled with the new wine that the old wine skin can not contain.

I'll close this post with something the Spirit said to me December 6, 2020:

     A born again speaking spirit's mouth is only satisfied with words spoken
from a heart established in righteousness.

And that pretty much settles it for me.

Reclaiming Our Voice

Psalm 24:1

A Word of Encouragement

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof;
the world, and they that dwell therein.

It seems the world has been up-side down and most of us have been in a type of survival mode, having been locked down, masked up and threatened with an onslaught of  bad news and governmental mandates.  Many have suffered great personal losses, myself included.   It's  been a time where our faith has truly been  tried, tested and questioned.   And here we are, facing a new year and yet uncertain of what this "new year" may hold.   And those of us who have held onto our hope in God (maybe as in my case, having trusted Him to hold onto us) in spite of having been shaken to the core, still have hope because He alone is God and  our strong foundation that cannot be shaken.

So now, on this last day of 2021 I  want to share with you a video which encouraged me greatly. I'm so thankful to God for surrounding us with  the voices of  those who speak for Him in this hour.  And though we may have come to understand many of these things they speak, just the hearing of truth causes faith to rise which strengthens and comforts our hearts,  confirming how He has been faithfully speaking to us as well!

This video is from Dutch Sheets' "Give Him 15" (Daily Prayer with Dutch on Youtube).  Pastor Tom  Hamon is filling in for Dutch in this video, Contending for Victory Over the Real Pandemic, and shares some tactics the anti-Christ spirit used in this past few years to overcome God's people and what must be done to combat it.  I trust you'll be encouraged  and greatly strengthened by the video

At the end of this post, I'll include directions to the written version of this video for those who either don't speak English, or for anyone who'd like a printed version. The Blessing of The LORD and Great Peace to all who stop by.
