Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof; the world,

and they that dwell therein. KJV

I receive weekly devotionals from Derek Prince Ministries.  This one especially encouraged me today, so I wanted to share it with you.  I trust it will be a Blessing to you, and it's especially nice it you listen to it read by the late Mr. Prince himself!

Commit – Then Trust!

Psalm 37:5
Commit your way to the Lord; trust also in Him, and He will do it.     NASB

Do you want God in charge of your situation, your life, your problem? There are three simple steps that are indicated in those words I read to you.

The first, commit your way to the Lord. That’s a single, decisive act. You just commit your way to the Lord; you take your own hand off it. It’s like taking money to a bank, depositing it, and getting a receipt for it. You know you’ve deposited it.

The next step, trust also in the Lord. Trust is a continuing attitude. Commit is a single act; trust is a continuing attitude. You just go on trusting. Last night you deposited your money in the bank. But you don’t keep worrying about whether it’s still there, or whether the bank knows what to do with the money, you just trust the bank. But in this case, you are not trusting a bank, you are trusting the Lord.

And when you take the first two steps then the third step is the Lord’s: He will do it. He’ll bring it to pass. Whatever situation you have in mind, whatever need, whatever problem, whatever decision, you commit it to the Lord – that’s the act. You go on trusting in Him – that’s the attitude. And you have that wonderful, peaceful assurance: the Lord will do it. He’s in control. You can trust the bank with your money, and you can trust the Lord with your problem. Just take it to Him, commit it to Him, continue trusting in Him.

--  Conclusion of  Mr Prince's devotional  --

He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God

RE: The Son of Man

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world,

and they that dwell therein. KJV

In the following  passage found in  Matthew 9, Jesus describes part of what His authority as the Son of Man entails.  The same event is included  in  Mark  2:9 and Luke 5:23.  These have been in my heart now for a number of years as I've been learning how it applies to my life in a number of practical ways. This is one of the normal ways the Word and the Spirit work together with us in order to mature us and to help us receive the benefits of our inheritance.

At the beginning of January, I added a "read thru the bible in a year" routine, where one reads a specific set of pages a day.  I decided to use a free online audio source for this particular project and chose The Message version.  I hop out of bed, make a cup of tea, plug in my earphones, relax and enjoy having the added benefit of hearing the Word spoken from a fresh perspective.  It's been quite a delightful addition to my morning without much effort on my part at all and the benefits have been priceless!

It was a couple  of days ago when the passage in Matthew 9 was read and it lit me up on the inside as the words resounded in my mind and spirit!  There's something about hearing the same thing we've heard and know to be true, when said differently which possesses the power to significantly impact and strengthen the existing knowledge and understanding  we have on a given subject....and our God knows exactly how to do that for us!  (I'm smiling and feeling joyful again even as I write this.)

So, Here's the passage that made such an impact on me: (to hear it read, go here )

 Matthew 9:1-8
Who Needs a Doctor?
1-3 Back in the boat, Jesus and the disciples recrossed the sea to Jesus’ hometown. They were hardly out of the boat when some men carried a paraplegic on a stretcher and set him down in front of them. Jesus, impressed by their bold belief, said to the paraplegic, “Cheer up, son. I forgive your sins.” Some religion scholars whispered, “Why, that’s blasphemy!”
4-8 Jesus knew what they were thinking, and said, “Why this gossipy whispering? Which do you think is simpler: to say, ‘I forgive your sins,’ or, ‘Get up and walk’? Well, just so it’s clear that I’m the Son of Man and authorized to do either, or both. . . .” At this he turned to the paraplegic and said, “Get up. Take your bed and go home.” And the man did it. The crowd was awestruck, amazed and pleased that God had authorized Jesus to work among them this way.  The Message (emphasis, mine)

The unique, loving watch-care He provides us  individually is truly wondrous and this is, in part,  what I attempted to share here as well as keeping the knowledge of Him as the Son of Man in the forefront of our thinking.  We all can benefit tremendously by receiving more of His tenderness to us, as well as having a deeper understanding of the fact that  only a man could restore what man had lost.

With these things in mind, I'll close with something He said to me which I posted here recently:
I came as the son of man so you could become the sons of God.

He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God

Simeon, Anna and The Body of Christ

Psalm 24:1

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world,

and they that dwell therein. KJV

It's time for the Body of Christ to work with God to bring about Ephesians 1:10  in this day and hour:
That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him (KJV)
And how do we do such a thing? By yielding to Him and allowing the desire of His heart to work in and through us as His grownup children, ready to live and do things His way. He will help anyone who's willing. The first calling of his disciples remains true for us today when He simply said, "Follow Me." We don't have to make it anymore difficult than that: as we choose to follow Him, His Spirit will lead us in prayer just as He said He would in Romans 8:26-27 and John 16:13 (to name a few) by His Living Spirit and His eternally Living Word.

Simeon and Anna were those prophetic intercessors who spent their lives interceding that the way be prepared for the first coming of Christ,  now the responsibility for His second coming rests on the  church-believers In Him.  We must as individuals and Bodies of Believers come together as One with Him and call on Him to bring it to pass as He leads His followers into true and powerful intercession and expression of His Presence in our lives.  And how wonderfully gracious of Him to make it easier for us today in that it's lighter in weight for us as we rest In Him giving Him place and the power to add our share with perhaps millions  of  others of His followers who will join Him.  How lovely is He to help us  rest from our own works as God did from His and to enable us to join those who've gone before us to help prepare the way in prayer for such a time as this when we all can come together as One to hasten the day of His return.

There's much to be done for His heart can only be satisfied by those whom He paid the price for, to be restored to His great heart of Love for them.  Let us be willing to be fishers of men in the unique way that only He can bring to pass with our own individual gifting--however He has created us to be empowered by His own strength to walk out the ministry of reconciliation:

2 Corinthians 5:17-19  (KJV)

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
In closing I'm leaving a link with a prophetic Word through Kenneth Copeland for 2019 (prophesy spoken and written at this link). And another from two gifted Bible teachers, Co-Pastor Terri Pearsons and Greg Stephens who are part of the ministry team at Eagle Mountain International Church. Perhaps more light will be added to what I've shared here by hearing these three prophetic words/teachings concerning the Body of Christ in this day and hour.

My hope and greatest desire is that all who choose to stop to read this blog will be inspired to go deeper and higher with Him who paid it all for us in spite of our success's and our failures .  We all have to go the same way, no matter our age or anything else.  If we're alive and breathing and call on Him, He will with great joy of heart receive us without hesitation no matter where we are physically, spiritually and emotionally. We all can totally trust Him with our battered and bruised hearts for He will in no wise leave or forsake us if we'll only call on Him.

After all He came specifically for you...He  created you in your mother's womb and He knows you by name!  You are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made!

So I'll end this post without my usual scripture but with this one from Revelation 22:17 KGV:

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
